Our Story

Who We Are

YASS Gambia — Young Advocates for Sexuality, Sexual Health and Sexual Rights — is a registered youth-led non-profit organisation in The Gambia, established in 2021.

We were founded by young people, for young people, with one core belief: that every young person deserves access to accurate sexual health information, quality services, and the freedom to exercise their sexual rights with dignity.

In The Gambia, where comprehensive sexuality education is limited, YASS Gambia fills the gap — providing young people with the knowledge, skills, and safe spaces they need to make informed decisions about their health and rights.
